Laganas Beach is a stretch of sand that stretches to combine with Kalamaki Beach, which is located nearby, creating a trail that is approximately 4 kilometres in length and is accessible by foot. Although the water is not as beautiful as in other areas of the island, it is extremely warm and clear. Additionally, the bottom is rather shallow and gradually slopes downward; even hundreds of metres from the coast, the depth of the water does not surpass five metres. The beach is best equipped on the island, with restaurants and cafes along the water's edge open until 2 a.m. and renting deck chairs and umbrellas.

Marathonisi Island, Greece
When you visit Zante, you'll find natural beauty everywhere, from the island's olive groves to its unspoiled golden-sand beaches. But Zante's Turtle Island, in the middle of the Bay of Laganas, has to be one of the most beautiful places to visit. People sometimes call Zante's Turtle Island Marathonisi Island. Before the Second World War, a few people from Zante lived on this small private island.
People have moved on, and now the only people on the island are loggerhead turtles, which are on the verge of extinction. Caretta caretta turtles are another name for these rare and gentle creatures. They come to the island to breed, and if you're lucky, you might see one! The National Marine Park of Zakynthos keeps the island very safe. All boat trips must leave the island by sunset when turtles come to the beach to lay their eggs.

ZANTE TOWN, MALLIARI
This odd festival takes place in Zante Town, accessible via a bus ride of approximately 15 minutes.
